“Coffre ouvert” means open car boot. In Monthey, up to 100 stalls set up right in the town centre, every month from April to November, with a break in August. The market is split between two spots: the courtyard of the Vieux-Collège, opposite the Migros, and the Esplanade du Crochetan. If you want to clear out at home, you will find takers here; if you like to rummage, you will find good second-hand pieces. By car, park at the Migros, the Coop or the AOMC station, two minutes' walk away; parking next to the Esplanade is not allowed. Whether it goes ahead in bad weather is decided on the day.
