Since 2001 the market has filled the rue de Rive and the lakeside quays, from Quai Louis Bonnard past the Musée du Léman and the marina to the Grande Jetée and Place de Savoie. Private sellers stand next to second-hand and antique dealers. The rules allow clear-outs, brocante, antiques and second-hand or vintage clothes, and nothing new or fake. From April to October, children and teenagers have Parc Bourg de Rive to themselves, under the motto «Vide ta chambre»: empty your room. The Quartier de Rive association runs it to bring people to the district and the lakefront.
