At this market, children spread out on a picnic blanket whatever they no longer need: toys, books, comics, board games. That gives well-kept things a second life. The market takes over the lower Bahnhofstrasse around Alexanderplatz, with about 60 places. Over coffee and cake, parents can chat with the city's youth work team, who run the event. It is called off only in very heavy rain.
