Most of Berlin's markets belong to the weekend. On Straße des 17. Juni, by Tiergarten S-Bahn, antiques, art and crafts fill the stalls on both days; household goods and new goods are kept out. At Fehrbelliner Platz, private sellers, dealers and artists share covered wooden stalls, sorted into lanes: porcelain and silver, records and lamps, clothes, art. Books and antiques face the Bode-Museum on Museum Island, around 60 stalls.
Many more keep to a single weekend day. Mauerpark and Arkonaplatz sit side by side, Arkonaplatz the quieter; the RAW site in Friedrichshain is the place for clothes; behind Ostbahnhof, collectors trade stamps, postcards and old photographs. In Weißensee, the HansaMarkt mixes second-hand stalls with fruit and smoked fish. The Nowkoelln Flowmarkt runs every other week on Maybachufer from March to November. At the Karlshorst trotting track antiques come monthly, with a big three-day edition at Whitsun and on German Unity Day.
